Responsibility Level:
The CFS Country Manager - is responsible for statutory compliance activities, including coordination with the business operations. The CFS Country Manager has overall responsibility for preparing the country Holding individual and consolidated financial statements, and the monitoring of the overall compliance with Controls' corporate accounting policies, procedures and timelines applicable to the country legal entities. The position acts as ultimate coordinator and contact with external auditors for all engagements associated to the country. The CFS Country Manager is expected to have the technical acumen and interpersonal presence to function as strategic consultant to top level management, playing a critical leadership role in business planning and consulting regarding operations in the country. The positions reports directly to the CFS Senior Manager .
Primary Duties: Financial Reporting: 1. To prepare and report statutory financial statements for all country legal entities. 2. To design and implement internal control structure to comply with statutory and legal regulations in the country 3. Monitor the compliance with JCI corporate accounting policies, as well as defining those specifically applicable to local business. 4. Ultimate responsible for ensuring compliance with Local GAAP, and reporting of differences with US GAAP 5. Responsible for developing and maintaining in the BU ERP statutory reporting template in compliance with local requirements
Audit Coordination: 1. Act as overall audit engagement coordinator for all country audit work performed by the appointed external auditors (PWC). 2. Performs key role in negotiating annual audit fees, finally approved by JCI Audit Committee 3. Determine audit fees allocation by BU and by plant 4. Define and monitor execution of audit plan, in conjunction with external auditors and BU controllers
Holding Corporate Accounting 1. Prepare and report to Milwaukee the holding companies financial statements, when applicable. Acting as ledger owner for all ledgers uploaded into Corporate Milwaukee 2. Prepare CFS cost forecast, local allocations to BU and Corporate, MEC activities and variance to forecast reporting
Business Planning/Consulting to BU: 1. Coordinate with Tax department activities related to Tax planning projects 2. Develop and sign off projects business case, and provides recommendations to functional leaders 3. Responsible for developing business initiatives oriented to cost savings efforts and improvement of financial and accounting processes 4. Coordinate the implementation of Corporate initiatives deployed in the country
Skills and Competencies Required: ? Bachelor's degree with accounting/finance major ? Previous financial reporting experience with an American company ? Fluent in English ? In depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP ? Previous experience in international audit firms ? Previous experience preparing consolidated financial statements ? In depth knowledge of plant operations and forecasting system ? Previous exposure to Central Finance functions, ? Strong customer service focus |
