Job Description
This is an Application System Engineer position in Service Gateway division. Responsibilities include, but not limited to, analyzing requirements of Application SW modules for the advanced xDSL Gateway product, supporting marketing team to write RFQ, quickly learning new technology and supporting development team to create optimized implementations, being involved in the system architecture and product evolutions, and actively involved in customer specific programs and make these a success story. A working of underlying Application and network technologies and other telecommunications technologies is a key enabler to success in this position. Candidates should demonstrate excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well on a team. Candidates are expected to have strong leadership and good communication skill as required to work within an engineering team and coordinate with foreign colleagues.
Candidate Profile Mandatory
Bachelor degree or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunication or related disciplines
Bachelor 7+ years/Master with 5+ years hands-on experience in C/C++ programming
Working experience on System Engineer in international hi-tech companies
Solid experience on Application development, such as TG069, UPnP/DLNA and etc.
Solid experience on Real Time Systems/embedded system.
Self-motivated, committed, open minded, and able to work independently for project deadlines
Strong sense of responsibility, highly driven, detail-minded and result-oriented
Good in communication, teamwork, with analytical and problem-solving skills
Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
Optional
Experience in development of application protocol, such as UPNP/AV, UPNP, TR-069, TR64, SOAP, XML, HTTP, SSL/TLS, etc
Familiar with ClearQuest/ClearCase/RallyDev
Experience on networking protocols
Embedded/web (Java) development
OSGI development
Database knowledge, MySQL, SQLite.
