Senior Program Officer, Partnerships
Reports to: Managing Program Officer, Country Director or Executive Director
Job Profile: The Senior Program Officer, Partnerships is dedicated to working with a specific international education institution, assisting the customer with identifying, developing and managing partnerships. It may also involve sophisticated profile building, and/or inbound programs, etc. Position involves frequent, sophisticated interaction with international and Chinese institution customers. Significant travel required (20%).
The Most Suitable Background: Past Work Experience • Five or more years experience in increasingly responsible roles related to education or international education. • Experience representing a known institution a plus. Education • Bachelor’s degree with good to strong academic performance. Master’s preferred. • Strong English fluency. Proficient in business writing. Able to discuss strategy and analysis with English speakers. Life Experience • Study or experience abroad strongly preferred. • Voluntary or other life experience that demonstrates creativity, hard work, persistence or drive to succeed.

Detailed Responsibilities As assigned by the Supervisor in conjunction with the Customer, but may include: • All duties as performed by the role Program Officer as well as: • Assist Customer with the identification, screening, selection and recruitment of Chinese academic institutions for academic partnership • Assist Customer with the management of academic and other partnerships in China • Develop knowledge of the customer context, such that your recommendations are realistic in light of local conditions within the institution. • Evaluation of the Customer’s programs, attributes and activities in China, with recommendations for improvement that are sophisticated, realistic, well informed by market norms and that address Customer priorities. • Assist Customer with the design, implementation and management of inbound and extra-curricular programs in China • Have the capability to interact with and support faculty and other senior leadership at the Customer institution. • Assist with the Customer’s messaging within the market (in the form of marketing communications, web sites and social media) to a very high standard |
